    Spring into fun this March in the Town of Georgina

    The countdown is on for the arrival of spring. Until then, there is still plenty to do in Georgina. From March Break activities and Taste of Georgina to the Link Market – Spring Edition and recreation programs, there is something for everyone.

    Recruitment for Georgina Agricultural Advisory Committee

    The Council of the Town of Georgina invites people to volunteer in their community as a member on the Safe and Active Transportation Advisory Committee. All appointments are for the remainder of the 2022-2026 Term of Council. Current Town board and committee members are encouraged to apply.

    Missed green bin collection on Feb. 10

    Green for Life (GFL) missed some green bin collections on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026.

    GFL will return to collect the missed green bins on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026.

    Affected streets 

    The following streets were impacted:

    • Catering Road
    • Valley View Drive
    • Old Homestead Road
    • Ridgeview Road
    • Baldwin Road
    • Cryderman’s Sideroad

    Residents on these streets are asked to leave their green bins at the curb until collection has been completed.

    New date for SnoFest - postponed to Saturday, Feb. 28

    After careful consideration, SnoFest will be postponed to Saturday, Feb. 28, due to extreme cold temperatures and high winds in the forecast. 
    The safety of the community is always a top priority, and the Town wants to ensure SnoFest is a fun and comfortable experience for everyone!
    Thank you for your understanding. We can’t wait to celebrate with you on Feb. 28 at the ROC!

    Snow lift notice and winter parking restrictions

    Winter operations crews will be removing snow from roads throughout the community.

    To allow crews to safely and effectively clear snow, parking is not permitted on affected streets between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on scheduled snow lift days. Temporary parking restrictions will be posted on streets where snow removal is planned. Residents will receive 48 hours notice before work begins on their street. Watch for signage indicating when your street is scheduled.
